I just got ciosx_rev21 how do I install cIOS56rev21 cause I always got fail to read dvd error 263.

Modchip? Do any DVD-Rs work? Color of your Wii? When did you buy it? Wii or gamecube disc? C'mon some details.

I'm a bit confused from reading the information for R9b58. Is the "no streaming music" bug fixed? I installed WiiGator's cMIOS v0.2 (base MIOS v10) and NeoGamma R9b58, then ran my backup of Super Monkey Ball, which I had run fstfix t s f on before burning, and there was no streaming music. I tried setting the "Audio Fix" option (with internal mode set) to "Auto" and "Yes + 32K", and nothing changed.

The audio fix is there to boot the game if the audio streams are damaged, but right now only a modchip + discs will be able to play audio streams for backups.

My Wii version is 4.2u and the color is white and yes my wii can play dvd and can play wii backup game with neogamma but it doesn't seem to be able to play gamecube it always said fail to read dvd error 263 it even said that when I have a real gamecube game disk not a burn one i think it got to be a wrong cIOS, my wii was made in 2006.

To me it sounds like you have a modchip and a cMIOS with integrated loader. NeoGamma will play gamecube backups and retail discs for you, when you install the recommend cMIOS and the games are single game discs not multi game discs.

I expect a good d2x update soon. If i can identify the base IOS of cIOS easily, i will implement automatic loading of the best suited cIOS. So if your IOS249 uses IOS56 as base, it's used for 98% of games. If a game requests IOS57 or IOS58, then NeoGamma looks for a cIOS with that base IOS and loads it before starting the game. I made my mind up to implement this instead of IOS selection quite a while ago.

Eh eh I suggested this feature to dimok a few months ago, but he was very busy fixing bugs for gx v2.
Maybe we can discuss it togheter. Let me know.

@WiiPower: after using backup launcher 0.2 for several months i can say that it runs fine via component. no errors at all. so there must be an error in the code of your neogamma GC launcher. after all i still use it if i want to play wind waker because this game doesnt work with backup launcher for any reason...
the problem is just that its coincidence whether i have a black screen (just audio) or it works, with backup launcher it works everytime with video & audio...

The reason I didn't get the gamecube game to work because I keep using dvd+r finally get the game to work with dvd-r.

Usually you can use dvd+r too if you change the book type of the media to dvd-rom before burning it.

Not usually, always when you have good discs + a good burner. The fact that DVD+R need bitsetting is part of my GC backup mini FAQ.

The next NeoGamma beta will have some better error codes for all read errors, meaning no more 1xxx read errors. The problem is that it will show '03023A00' instead and it means:
DVD+R without bitsetting, cIOS installed
or
DVD+R without bitsettting, no cIOS installed
or
Bad burn
or
Drive can't read DL properly when trying load DL
or
whatever

The only things i can seperate by the error codes are error code '053000', which means it was tried to read a DVD-R or a DVD+R with bitsetting, but no cIOS is installed. And the fact if a disc can be read, but isn't a Wii or GC disc, like if you insert a ps2 backup or a disc with the .iso file burned as data.

Only when adding the same for usb. Usb would have top priority. I don't even know if NeoGamma is still able to read from wbfs formatted sd cards.

Yes it is.
With base 56 I can play games from a wbfs formatted sdhc card.
You have just to enable the option "sd using IOS 61".
