Hi,

I really need help how to configure NeoGamma R8 beta 15 to be able to play New Super Mario Bros. I followed the instructions and placed the "WIP" files
in the "SD://Neogamma" directory. Then the instruction says that you should enable "Search patches". But where can this be found???

I thought it was in the Neogamma config menu, but NO...

Could anyone please tell me how to set the Neogamma switches.

How should Ocarina, Hooktype and so on be configured? Is it any difference if I play the game from DVD or USB disc?

Thanks in advance!!

Hermes vs. Waninkoko is like 5:0 now with IOS37, FAT, NTFS, .iso, BCA and no DL bug.

6:0
Launching CD, DVD5 and DVD9 from an external DVD (USB) will be possible.
The Wii can't read CDs, how can it boot CDs from USB?

u didnt read the post properly it loads CD and DVD from an external USB DVD drive, meaning not the Wii's DVD drive
Ok, but you didn't answer the question. Which advantage does CD reading have? Burning small games on CDs and listening to Audio-CDs in mplayer?

Sorry for posting this twice, but i hope that will reduce the number of posts overall.

Ok, here are my test results with cIOSrev16:
Sam & Max disc, SoftChip, Sam & Max fix enabled -> works
Sam & Max disc, NeoGamma rebooter -> works
SSBB disc, SoftChip -> DL bug
SSBB usb, usb loader 1.5 -> DL bug
Sam & Max disc, NeoGamma, timeout
Sam & Max usb, NeoGamma, timeout

So building a cioscorp with this may be possible, but it will only help with BCA protected games and not DL games. And about BCA games, there's only 1 game at the moment, and if you have to patch it for disc channel, you can use the other patch that's floating around already.

Even if there wasn't the DL bug, the cIOS would be broken in my eyes. NeoGamma fails because it uses different code to access the dvd drive than all other loaders. But that code works on IOS, so if a game would use the same code it could detect this cIOS.

Is it wrong if i say every game could detect every cIOS, every ES patched IOS, the HBC and much more?

How to use the ocarina? I want to play with the codes, but fails. Tell me please.

P.S. If something is wrong, forgive me.

i followed "Modify any Wii 4.2 & below, aka the simplistic mod" to the T and haave the following

Installing cIOS & Patching the System Menu IOS
Run WAD Manager 1.5
When it opens choose IOS36. (it is probably already set to that)
Press A to leave NAND emulator disabled.
Press A to open from SD slot.
Install cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
Install cIOS222[38]-v4.wad
Install cIOS223[38+37]-v4.wad
Install cIOS249-v14.wad
Install cIOS250-v14.wad
Install IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad
Press home to exit.

Why is R8 not playing any games (flash of green screen and then black or flash of green screen and then freezes right after the warning screen)
used Wii Back Manager and Western Digital 1tb
Any ideas?
thanks,

Hi WiiPower!

On your fist post you wrote:

you should add

QUOTE- not compatible at all with cIOSrev16 neither
Stay with cIOS rev 14 and wait for an update

Will there be any proper Neogamma release working with those cIOS?

What are the benefits of this cIOS anyway?

What launcher do you suggest to launch DVD with cIOS rev 16?

I think I'm gonna stay with rev 14.

I tried rev 15 (not rev 16) and I wasn't able to launch DVD from NeoGamma.
Then I tried to copy DVD games into external hard drive with Configurable USB Loader (by pressing + button) and it didn't make it.

I went back to rev 14 and everything went fine!

NO, he won't as cIOS should work for NeoGamma and not NeoGamma for the cIOS (that will be his answer).

Neogamma already works fine with cIOS rev14 so as the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Ok that's what I thought, WiiPower you should edit your post to make it more clear.

Ok that's what I thought, WiiPower you should edit your post to make it more clear.

Why? In my eyes there's even less reason to use rev16 than there is to use rev15. Rev16 is not compatible with NeoGamma's code AND it has the DL bug. So it's basically rev14 + 1 bug more + BCA support. And about BCA, there's still only 1 game with it if i'm not wrong and there's an alternative patch available for. (not speaking of the need to patch the .iso while Hermes cIOS allows to have the BCA data externally...)

If people install it because it's the latest one, i don't want to help them. rev15 was broken(discussed 100 times), so on rev16 release everybody should check what others say first, before expecting anything.

guys, i have no problem using 14 and it seems to work just fine on the back ups i just tested today, but i cannot for the life of me play any of my old back ups that are stored on my PC. i've been told and im suspecting that it may have something to do with WBFS Manager, but im not sure what, i tried WiiBackupManager without any sucess, anything that i rip to HD works fine, but none of the all games stored on PC work, all freeze at the block screen or after warrning screen.

is it possible to check the stored iso files for corruption or any other ideas?

You are asking the same question for weeks. I'm sure you already got an answer in one of the threads.
