Hacking Neogamma issue

So, I just decided to update my outdated cIOS with the d2x update, because I was going to load up a new game I had just burned. Once I update with base 56 on IOS259 and base 57 on IOS250 (like the guide had said to do), I started getting errors with my NeoGamma R8 (error 1167) so, naturally, I tried using the latest version of that, but I'm running into similar errors (DVD+r/bad burn/DL problem?). I get these errors for games I have previously played fine as well as this new one, so it's not the disc. Anyone know how to solve this? should I revert to older cIOS, and if so, which should I be installing in 249 and 250?

What version do you have? I know you think it's the latest, but please check in NeoGamma.

I believe its Beta 53 of NeoGamma R9. I ran into problems before using that, though. Preferably, I'd like to keep using R8, since I've got a channel for it.

Please check WITHIN NeoGamma. Also make sure you replaced the SD:\NeoGamma\ folder with the new one.

What version of d2x did you get?

Checked, it is b53, which I'm assuming means Beta 53. I had been following this guide for d2x cIOS...

I installed d2x56v8final according to NeoGamma.

And I never had an old one to replace.... lol
I did add it to the root of the SD while installing, though.

Downgrade your cIOS's to what you had before. The versions were fine. Softmod ANY Wii is a wonderful guide, but the setup isn't quite standard, particularly what bases are installed in each slot. 38 is in 249 and 56 is in 248.
