Emulation Homebrew NeoDS on a DSi

Does anyone know which MAME romset version you have to use with NeoDS?
I'm guessing 0.125 (May 2008) or 0.124 (Mar 2008) based on the release dates not sure tho.

Figured it out, NeoDS uses
MAME 0.119 (Nov 2007)
FinalBurn Alpha 0.2.97.29 (Feb 2008)

Chief, in all these years, I've never heard of anyone managing to play it from an SD card, ever. As you've been wisely advised, buy one of those chinese flashcards (very cheap these days) and you'll be fine.

I don't have a flashcard, only an SD, I might buy one tho, SD too slow for NeoDS.

Hi, to answer your question, yes, it's possible, but the emulator experiences frame rate drops and momentary choppy sound when there are many sprites and effects on screen, depending on the game, this is because it runs from the SD card slot I've been researching this for a while, and it seems the emulator performs better with a flashcart because it has a direct communication to the ARM7, I want to buy a flashcard for that reason, but I don't trust buying it on AliExpress.
