Gaming need to update to play umd need help

so i have custom firmware 3.71 m33. i want to play my umd of freedom unite but it saying i need to update to ofw 3.50 or something. is there a way i can get it to work without updating but keepin my cfw.
im a noob at this, i tried googling my problem but nothing came up. (just crap).

i have a UMD of street fighter alpha that has 2.50 update and it works on my 5.00 M33-6. It says that I had updated my PSP to 5.51

OPTIONAL (not necessary): just edit your version txt from 5.00 to 5.51 after you update to 5.00 M33-6

can I update straight to 5.00 m33 - 6 or do i have to to 5.00 m33 then to -6.

Read the readme...you can go direct to 5.00M33-6 using that CFW update and the OFW 5.00 eboot.
