Gaming need some advice for kid games please

hello everyone!

my son who is almost 5 years old discoverd my DS for him and is playing around a bit.
does anyone of you know any like educational kid games for really young players ?
he can read already so thats no problem.
you know, simple stuff like easy maths, train to write letters etc.

I'd say.. ah , Nintendogs , New Super Mario Bros. ... Ammmm I can't think of more , But these games are not educational but they are easy , And will fit for him , I think.

Well Of the top of my head i can think of Math Play Brain Buster Puzzle Pack and Brain Training for educational games and for fun check out FoxMcCloud's suggestions

well... Find games that are good. Chances are on DS that it will be okay for kids. If you want something easy, try princess peach or kirby squeak squad.

Try some of the mini game compilations like wario ware.

You could try those language games to try getting him to be able to learn a new language but that is something you would have to help him with a lot to figure it out. That or brainage, which I am sure most people would disagree with me but if you stick with some of the basic main levels I think it would over all help him for when he has to do those type of things later on in school to be ahead of the curve.

Not sure about the second game but Electroplankton is a good idea, I let my 4 year old brother play it today while I was over there and he enjoyed it. Also something you should look into if you have a mod cart of course is the homebrew Drawing program (Colors). My little brother also enjoyed that.

The Crayola colouring game is good my 5 year old son enjoys it...he also loves any of the Lego Star Wars games.

There is also a Story Book game...I can't remember it's exact name.

Might your five year old boy like little mermaid? My nephew did. There is a little mermaid game out...not sure how educational it was.
It did have a pretty cool mini game where you have to match the tune by singing it back to the DS. FUN!!

lol just joking. Um, virtual pets are really good for kids. They keep kids amused for a while surprisingly. I had a cousin, 6 years old, playing nintendogs on my DS for hours..

Yeah, my little brother LOVES Nintendogs. I think that's by far one of the best "kiddie" games.
