I got this mail from few days ago and I never see that kind thing before. It about offer. It said "$100 off include everything you need to get started, offer ends October 31, 2012." It cut it off to 49 dollars. Also they said on it too. "6 times faster than ordinary satellite (up to 12mbps) Internet. 4 times faster than average DSL. 240 times faster than dial-up. All from Exede, high speed Internet for all mankind." Hmmm I don't know about this. Any of you done this before?

Satellite internet has good bandwidth, but shitty latency.

"Bandwidth" is the type of speed that matters for downloading and uploading large files quickly.

"Latency" is the speed that matters for online gaming.

from what I understand of it, it's a data plan like for phones. it uses a satellite dish to do the signal transfer, and if you hit your limit, you can buy more in 1GB increments.
too many cons from that. service may vary depending on location, you have a data cap. satellite signal might get interrupted. I would just stick with broadband/DSL

Hmm...I see. I don't like interrupted all times. It really good deal but...that will not make me to earn to trust this. So I won't use this cuz of satellite out of space.

Brad I thought I had heard you already had satellite through another ISP at one point though. Am I mistaken?
