Android Need help with rooting?

Are there any n00b guides to rooting any tablet with Android 4.0? I have a tablet that pretty much no has ever heard of and google has nothing good on it.

yeah knowing what tablet you have will definitely help us. are you trying to root for any specific reason or are you trying to just do it to pirate apps? because you don't need root to do that. PM me with some details about your device and I can help you further.

Mentioned it in another thread. Its called Gardner Gotab 6 Inch (GBT6). Not very people know its a thing, and there appears to be no guides on XDA, which is why I'm looking for a generic 4.0.4 rooting guide. problem is, some of the xda results on google says I need a firmware version of something in the settings menu, and my device display everything but firmware versions.
