Need help with rom files!

Hey guys,

I just download "Love Plus", but when I opened the .rar file, the Love plus file was seperate into many other .rar files (more like .r01, .r02, .r03).

What is the tool I need to put the files back into one file?

I think its some uber-tech that compresses files so when you download a rom you don't download 264mbs but only 120mb

So far there's been three "reasons" to split files (that I've come across). Firstly is for ease of uploading (it's easier to upload 20 small files than 1 huge file). Secondly is for a kind of super-compression technique (it's not that effective, but every little helps when trying to upload/download faster). The last is for scene-standards (depending on what UseNet, IRC, newsgroup, forum or torrent site it's uploaded to).

As an end user, it's best not to worry about why they pack their files in the way they do... just be aware that they do it sometimes and know how to extract files properly. Once you have the file you want (in this case, the ROM file), you can just delete the RAR files and never worry about it again.

the reason why someone does this is for higher compression of the files

every .r** has a part of the .rar, for compression (lower filesize) reasons

if you extract the .rar it will take all those parts from the .r** automatically to form the original .rar's content
