Hacking Need Help With R4DS and EZ Flash V

Ok i have some problems running a couple GBA games such as:

Pokemon Leaf Green
Monster Rancher
Monster Rancher 2
Golden Sun
Golden Sun 2
Shining Force 2

and mostly all the good games.... it wont let me save, i patch it, but nothing.... explain please.

You could start by telling us what are you using to load GBA games

i patched using GBATA and loaded using 3 in 1 Loader tool and GBA Exploder... i couldnt save or do anything... what am i doing wrong?

Don't patch (manually)

GBAEXploader auto patches roms that need it now.

Try some virgin roms.

Golden sun and shining force work for me...

You only need exploader. The old version (tool) is just that. old, its the one that needs pre-patched roms.

ok i tried golden sun it worked and so did the others but leaf green is saying some stuff about back up battery crap that i dont know about.... but eh. thank you very much Porkdish (lol best name)

You need to use the RTC patch for the Pokemon games. Download GBATA and it's an option in that.

Real Time Clock patch. I think it patches it so it uses the DS clock instead of looking for it in the cart. Can't be 100% certain as I've never used it.

well its not a clock thing its this weird error about saving.... like it wont let me save. it says something "Back up save blah blah blah"

what do you mean virgin roms? like never used? i wouldnt even know where to find them.....at least explain it so i know what to look for in google. All the games work but i cannot save at all. it gives me a save error.

Virgin = unpatched with gbata or ezflash tool. Try other sites for your rom 'backups' to ensure an unaltered dump is what you're using.

The games save just fine for me, I tested them the first time I read this thread just to be sure. If absolutely NO games save then there could be an error with your 3 in 1. If some games do save but others do not then its more likely a patch issue.

If you only have gbata patched roms (to allow sram saving), then DO try the old '3 in 1 tool' (linked at the bottom of that page) and use the PATCHED games with it to see if they save...

You only need unpatched roms when using 'exploader'.
