Hi everyone,

I have a Nintendo Switch (serial starts with XAJ4), which I believe is a patched V1 model.
I recently bought a New 240plus chip.

The soldering went fine without any issues.
I connected the chip via USB (boot mode) to install/update the firmware using the file fw_2.73.uf2 from github . com (Ansem-SoD/Picofly)
The update completes successfully.

When I power on the Switch, the chip blinks blue several times and then once in green.
However, I get no display at all on the console’s screen — not even a “NO SD Card” message, nothing.

Could you please help me figure out what’s wrong?
Did I use the correct firmware for this chip/model?

I checked the screen flex cables and didn’t see anything unusual. If I connect the console to the dock, nothing happens either. I did another test: I removed the Picofly and reinstalled the NAND in its place. In handheld mode, the screen stays black but the backlight works. When I connect it to the dock, I do get an image on my TV… Strange, right?

Thanks you !

If you follow a guide, they say that sometimes the chip has enough power to boot but not enough to run the operating system.
Check your wiring, then double check with a multimeter if you have one.

My guess would be some issue with the LCD ribbon cable.
A small tear, missing or bend pins.
It is a very delicate connector and it is scary how easily it does get damaged.
If you don't have a microscope, get a cheap clip-on miccroscope for your smartphone from the dollar shop or Aliexpress.

If it is a picofly, then error messages are long/short blinks and they repeat themselves.
So maybe your modchip installation was fine and it was the display related issue.
