Hardware Need Help: Wii Disc Drive

Hi,

I'm just wondering if my Wii Can support playing DVD burned games, video and more.

Here are my detail about my wii:

Serial No.: LU208183291

my wii remarks base on this website:

The console has model number RVL-001(USA), produced for the North American market.

• There is a 50% chance the chipset is Combined GC2-D3 with no drive chip.
• And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D4 on a smaller drive board.
• Lastly, a 25% chance the chipset is GC2R-D2A.

Is my will can have chances to play DVD?

I'd say put a dvd in it and try reading it with WiiMC.

Nope. It only says that my wii doesn't support dvd playback
Is there's any patch or softmodding trick to bypass this event?

I dont believe there is, if DVD reading is super important to you, I'd check ebay for some older models.
