You have to have CFW or the latest OS version to update a game. The servers for httpwn/browserhax are down right now. Should've downgraded before updating to 11.1.

I don't want to lose my home menu layout themes. I use two SD cards; one for VC games and the other, rarely, for eShop and digital retail games.

I'm talking about folder layouts where you can save up to 8 of them and I don't want to go through the trouble of recreating them.

You can. Install fucking CFW and remake your folders. You'll only have to do it once.
