If you hold down select while powering on with the SD card in, if it says Luma3DS then you are have CFW.

Your post is very difficult to read. Please try to use punctuation.

What exactly do you want to do? If you don't care about your saved games and just want to start over from scratch, then just follow https://3ds.guide/restoring-updating-cfw . You do not need anything on your SD card first. (In fact, you should probably format your SD card first just to ensure there's no confusion.)

If you want to access your old data from before you formatted your unit, then you will have to restore the old encryption key, which you can do using the "CTRTransfer Type D9" script at https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-godmode9-scripts-megathread.482150/page-9#KEY_Y . This script does many different things, but you would be interested only in the "Finding and restoring the KeyY" function.

@Kwyjor It worked. But my games and apps (except built in system apps) don't show on the home menu, they are registered in software management in settings but they are grayed out and got a x on them.

I have no idea what you did or what led you to believe "it worked". I asked you a very simple question and you did not answer. :glare:
I installed the CTRTransfer Type D9 ran it using gm9 clicked on "Finding and restoring the KeyY" the script found the encryption key the system rebooted and the theme changed to the one I used to have the ID0 is now the one I used to have too but none of my apps and games are showing in the home menu but they are registered on the sd card in settings

I already asked you once to please use punctuation. You used punctuation in your last post so you are evidently capable.

What exactly makes you think "the ID0 is now the one I used to have too"?

Using Faketik might work.
