Hacking Need help! I think my touch screen is broken!!!

I opened my DS phat this morning and I suddenly noticed a horizontal line on the bottom screen. At first I'm not that worried because it's small, but the longer I keep playing, the longer the line gets! Can someone tell me whats wrong with it and can I prevent it from getting any longer?

I recomend sending it to

they recently repaired the hinges and casing on my DS lite.
And they're cheaper and quicker than the waranty repairs.

How is paying them £49.99 cheaper than paying NINTENDO around the same price and get an EXTRA YEAR NINTENDO WARRANTY??

You can buy replacement parts like lcd , touchscreen module , or cases from www.dealextreme.com for very cheap . Since you actually opened it yourself , then i'm sure you can change those parts yourself, as it is very easy

Well I'm not that confident about my finger dexterity.
One more thing, the line isn't visible when I turned off the back light.

I've searched the internet, and I think what my DS has is either a dead pixel or a stuck pixel. But why does it keep growing???

how bout you get to know your DS and get very cheap replacement LCD off from DX?
