Hacking Question Need help deciding

Good morning people, I have just recently bought a switch, unfortunately it was on 3.0.1.
I want homebrew, but I also want to get digital games such as overcooked and demos like puyo2 tetris.

Should I just stay as low as possible for future possibilities of homebrew or should I just update now and get the games?

Update and play games. Even I have updated my switch although my Switch was on 3.0.0. This Firmware has a big security hole, yes, but the progress in develop homebrew will take it's time.

If you're past 3.0.0 then just update. There won't be anything for 3.0.1 for a long while and when it does come it may very likely also be for the latest version.
