I got a custom built desktop bought ealier (older ivy bridge) core i3 3240. Had 4gb of ram added in another 4 and replaced the hdd to a ssd. I need a gpu for this as I plan on to using it for low end gaming and movie viewing my budget is $250 but I don't need anything real fancy for this old desktop. Also the case is kinda small but not ATX small it's weird actually.. My current gpus I have won't fit in the case which are hd5870 and 960gtx

specs:
core i3 3240
8gb ram
128 ssd
motherboard ASUS P8B75-M LE uATX LGA1155 B75

Why the 960? What about the 1050 Ti?
is your 960 a 2 or 4gb model? also because its free. or get a 980, much better than the 1050 ti. or if you want a real good one, there is a gtx 1060 mini edition sold by new egg for $249

Huh, why are you quoting me? I already have a 1050 Ti. lel.

Well screw me, mty 960 just shite the bed and I got my mid atx tower :(

Rip 960 you served me well.

Anything newer will bottleneck my cpu so I can't use a 1050 or 1080

Iirc, the 1050 isn't that much better than the 960, is it? I own a 1050 Ti, with an FX-8350 and it works quite well.

It's about the same performance-wise just more energy saver.

I could try getting one..

EDIT: actually I can't because some idiot wants over $300 for one rip.

heres the jerk that didn't read the first post and recommends something very generic and way too far from the OP wallet:
gtx 1080ti
