I believe there was a way to bypass the browser update nag by setting the time to January 1, 1990. I'm not sure how it worked but it had to do with setting the time to Jan 1 1990
Can anyone else confirm?
On your 3DS, open the System Settings app, then go to Internet Settings and Connection Settings. From there, select your favorite Connection, tap the Change Settings button, and on the second page head over to the DNS section. Once there, select "No" for "Auto-obtain DNS", and under Detailed Setup, enter the following address : 107.211.140.065.
He can't launch homebrew, that's why he is asking. Some people on certain firmwares have been able to negate the nag using that methodIf you got the Browser update NAG, there is no way to bypass it now. Only if you have a backup sysnand to revert back to before you got it.
Then block it with the Tubehax DNS ( http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ )
The clock/date trick is for FWs between 9.9 and 10.5 and no browser update nag.
If you only need to update to use the sky3ds+ (not to use browserhax) you can get "cooking mama" and "gardening mama" for EUR and "smash bros" with network simbol (NOT the one with the amiibo symbol) for USA which has the 9.2 update) or if you can launch homebrew, grab the FW from "that ISO site" and update it with Playsysupdater.)
But if you can launch homebrew, why not just go for A9LH and have a CFW on latest FW???
