Wow, just saw A few good men when my cousin recommended it to me. danny really did make me think of phoenix in a lot of ways! only it was much more dramatic of course

Also, is it my DS, or does the ''cling'' sound (which has been changed) sound kind of grumbled?

off to play some more

I actually got a Guilty Verdict on Case One. Either they made the game harder or I should feel really bad. The whole thing with Presenting Profiles and Evidence now threw me off.

I can just say I'm playing like 9 hours with a few breaks here and there and I'm still case 2... So I'd assume this is longer, yeah.

Although I did get a guilty verdict near the end of a part and had to do the whole part again. Gah, stupid photo.

The translation is weird. They manage to form complex sentences and flesh out the characters really well, but even after just completing the first case there are quite a lot of complete fuck ups in simple phrases. Not total Engrish, but bad grammar and incorrect usage of words. "Why are you starting at me like that" instead of staring, for example, and one thing Phoenix said that I can't quite remember, but which reminded me of this guy

Yeah, I just got stuck on case 2, trial day 1, and so I'll have to do that over. Then again, its similar to a few times in the first game, where I knew one specific thing was wrong, but it wouldn't let me present that evidence at the time, and I missed something else apparently.

I completed Episode 1 successfully yesterday without a problem. I actually didn't notice any grammar errors that weren't intentional on the translators part

The translator is the man behind the translations to Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII by the way, and of course the original Phoenix Wright remake. Hence, I have a lot of faith in his ability.

I noticed a few of those in PW1 too. I'd say it's more down to lack of good proofreading than poor/unskilled translators - there's probably as much text in the game as there is in a novel, and there are plenty of books I own with notable mistakes in them (my hardback edition of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy missed out the entire last paragraph of a chapter!). Despite minor slip-ups, the PW translations are excellent (if extremely corny with the gags - "Dustin Prince", I ask you!

I found a spelling error now in Episode 2 where there is an altar which is called an alter. Pretty minor though.

Wow.. just finished the whole game now.. it sucks that there's only 4 cases.... but cases 2-4 should mess your logic up real bad. =p There's 2 endings for this game btw. It's all dependent on your last decision for case 4.. ahah

I'm almost finished on case 1 but I'm not finding the music really good. Maybe it's because I loved the first Phoenix Wright music because it had that intensity to it.

If its like the original one, there's a 5th case that you can unlock if you do a GBA linkup with the GBA Gyakuten Saiban 2.

They unlocked it by default for the US release inthe first game since we don't have access to the original GBA game by normal mans, obviously.
