ROM Hack NDS games

Hi,

Im about to write a java app that stores all the info about NDS roms, with pics, dupes, version, saves, etc etc

However, i obviouly need to make sure that the carts are correct. Now The way im thinking of doing this is raw reading the cart headers and then MD5 checksum them and compare to a internal DB.

Has anyone got the info on teh carts/dumps, how long the header is etc etc so I can work out how many bytes to read. to make the files unique.

Save data is not stored in the header as far as I am aware,

MD5 is a bit excessive in my opinion as well although I suppose time taken over CRC(any) is pretty much negligible.
