nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

Noob coming in. I'm getting a power off error on boot. I'm guessing this has something to do with the TWLNAND Side cia. Do I install on Nand? (Luma A9LH Emunand User)

Man, everyone was saying this was still a long ways off and I sucked it up and bought a flash card. Just one month later and here we are :wtf: Fantastic work on this, guys. Looking forward to future updates!

Oh, and Merry Christmas :D

It's still extremely slow, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Something tells me it's going to be tough to speed up because of the patching process.

Patching the binary is fast, nds-bootstrap does it in about a second in real time. It's not the process of patching that's slow, but rather the code that you're patching in.

It's finally here.

Running NDS games off of the 3DS's SD card is now a reality.

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and myself, we can now load games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

As promised, a release is here, on Christmas/Christmas Eve.

Don't expect high compatibility or save support yet, but do expect many, many updates.

Have fun!

Some games that work well with this version:

Warioware: Touched
Mario Kart DS (if you have a physical MKDS card for saving)
Bomberman
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent
Space Invaders DS
MegaMan ZX
Yoshi Touch & Go
