I'm trying to backup my roms. I followed this guide: http://teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1942

I can get to where it says 'switch carts and press A to begin backup'. None of my carts work, not AC:WW, not Mario Kart DS, not Mario 64 DS, etc. It says cannot read card.
I thought it was maybe my 3DS. So I switched to my DSi, same problem.
Switched to my DS Phat, same issue.

Help?

NDS backup tool is outdated and may not dump 100% of the rom. Wooddumper should be used nowadays as it's the current best public NDS dumper. You can get it from filetrip.

Problem is, I have an EZFlash 3 in 1 for DS Lite, but I don't have a DS Lite anymore. I'm not paying $20+ to buy one for my DS Phat, when it's top screen is broken, so I needed to use a wifi way, being NDS Backup Tool (Wifi).

Wooddumper doesn't work either. I followed this guide: http://gbatemp.net/topic/274290-how-to-dump-your-own-3dsds-gamessaves/
I tried on my 3DS. Error. I tried on my DS Phat, error.

are you sure the problem isn't with your network or setup?

try all of these:
PCDS, PCWiFi routerDS, PCWiFi routerWiFi routerDS

in our beta discussions we have been able to successfully dump many roms over wifi. some have even gone as basic as to use firefox as the ftp application.

did you try the most recent revision?

Uhh, no I didn't do the most revision. That's probably an issue. On NDS Backup Tool (wifi) my connection works perfect, it just doesn't dump the rom, so that should mean the same...? I didnt get any wooddumper config file like NDS Backup Tool to enter my ip?

You can't swap game cards on a 3DS or on a DSi.
I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned before.
As for the DS Phat, are you sure it reads those cartridges properly in the first place?

Yes. The top screen broke off, and it's hanging by a little paper thingy, but it still reads cartridges right.
