Gaming Naruto Shippuuden GNT EX Saving

Okay, this might seem silly, but I'm stuck and it's really bothering me.. I can't seem to figure out how to save my game.. I've gone through story, thought I saw what would be an auto save, (even shows a save file in the wii from settings) yet it doesn't save the game.. From the game I go into the wii menu, start the game back up, the characters I previously unlocked aren't unlocked still. I get a little frustrated, but redo story mode, and unlock itachi. At this point I move to the wii channels from the game, and go back into the game. Nothing saved.. (I even fiddled with the settings before doing this to see if I could maybe find a save function..)

Thinking ahead (apparently not that far) I look on GameFAQs, maybe a walkthrough.. Nothing. Check for save files on gfaqs, another failed attempt. I searched google for saves and walkthroughs, again nothing.

Basically, how do you save in GNT EX?

yeah apprently its only works with Japanese Wii... US and Euro system can't work...

so sad for us..
