Can you also only uninstall the installed .dol file?
No need to be afraid of brick after that if you didn't have Preloader deleted?

Yes, you can do it without problems (the installed dol has nothing to do with the System Menu app)

You say this can remove the 4.0 .app, but what about 3.2?

I installed preloader 0.29 on 3.2, then updated to 4.0 and installed it again.
Did the 3.2 .app get overwritten by the 4.0 one, or is it named something different?

Some things:

1) ISFS Function paramaters MUST be 32byte aligned (even the filesnames). This will cause errors with your ISFS_Delete's in there.
2) You can use the SysMenu's TMD to determine the Main dol of it (the boot index). Then you can set the first byte to 1 and then it will be what preloader renames it to. The ES Function ES_GetStoredTMD is useful here.
3) you also might want to re-enable the IOS249 reload, as for many users it is the only ios that works iwth the ES_Identify() function.

Ok, I installed Preloader 0.29 on my 3.2U.

The 1st post here states it deletes preloader files, but if they are deleted won't the system brick coz it couldn't boot into preloader? Or will it automatically boot back to the system menu?

also, I assume I can just load either the dol or elf (not both) in HBC to run this program right?

Edit: when i installed 0.29 it says it patched ios60. I'm not on 4.0 or anything, so is there a way to unpatch this or it really doesn't matter??
