Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

Hey Guys, today I unbricked a 3DS XL for someone in this Forum.
I will make a NAND-Mod for him but I still need the ordered MicroUSB ports.
Till now, it looks like this (ATTACHMENT) and all is working without problem.

I'll make NAND Mods for 3DS and 3DS XL Users in Europe (and Worldwide, of course).

looks good, can i ask where i can find the pin locations used for the usb/connector and the sd adaptor so i can build my own. which micro usb ports to use etc.

Have you, by any chance, any knowledge of the 2DS NAND? I'm curious if the pins are the same. Also, why did you have to modify the MicroUSB? I feel as if you could have just cracked the USB end, and done the same pin layout? I may be wrong, though.

Yea, I could connect the USB-Cable directly, but I want to create a permanent NAND-Mod wthout having the cable hanging behind or on the side of the 3DS.
If you want to get the NAND or restore the NAND, you only need to connect a cable to the Micro-USB Port.

Hmm... the 2DS... There's no NAND-Mod available for it. Noone knows where the pins are.

I'll poke around inside eventually to look for them.

Also, I didn't mean having it hang out; I apologize. I meant, instead of having a microUSB cable with an SD attached, couldn't you have done the same with the existing USB ending? I would imagine that the USB ending has enough pins.

It seems not working. Every Guide says that we need to do it like this. (with MicroUSB to SD)

Okay, I know how to explain this easily. You open, solder the wires, and connect them to the microUSB port. (The place the cable will use to access the NAND.) On the microUSB cable, you replaced the USB (Side that'd go into the PC) with an SD card. Why must you modify the USB ending to add an SD?

It seems not working. Every Guide says that we need to do it like this. (with MicroUSB to SD).
I was not able to try it right now because I'm still waiting for my ordered MicroUSB Ports.
Every Guide says that we need to use the MicroUSB to SD.

Hmm, that is very strange, indeed. Thank you for your time. I plan to purchase an N3DS AUS soon, so I'll just hunker down for when there is more research done on its internals.

Because the NAND is an eMMC and runs off the SD format. If you were to connect a 3DS with this standard mod (there are mods that exist that use regular USB cables, but are not compatible with Gateway brick code restores) to the PC with a standard cable, you will send 5v to the wrong part of the NAND chip (the supposed result being a fried NAND chip). I personally use 4 pin micro jst connectors to avoid that very conclusion.

Eeeeem.... A question... A brick that cant your recover? Whats?! Please, tell me more!!! (i did upload photos from my hardmod in previus messages) i hope that my hardmod will the correct for this... (sorry for my english)
