Hello,

I´m the lucky owner of two models of the N3dsXL. But only one of them is with IPS-Screens. Sadly all of my bought games are linked to the TN-Version. Because of that I want to transfer the IPS screens to my "main" 3ds, but I´m not sure if I can disassemble the top screen without damaging something, so I thought about just swapping the Mainboards. Is all of the Hardware compatible or are some parts tied to the Mainboard?

Thanks in advance
Stego

I`m running a CFW on the other System.

Edit: I really dont want to touch this "hacked" System with my legit Account

It's perfectly fine, but try not to mess up the thin input switches, especially for the top screen and volume cable. Camera is difficult as well, and make sure NOT to lift on certain black (ZIF) connections. They only need to be pulled.

BTW ignore the outline, I clicked it once but it won't go away

Thank you for the info.

I know about this wiring since I had to fix a loose connection on my brothers device (Took me three hours to reassemble his 3ds)

It should be fine. Be sure NOT to pry the little black connectors up. You can just slide the ribbon cable out.

Yo, I did this sort of thing on my O3DS. There are guides all over the place. I recommend using one, as there is a specific order you should use. Also, take your time. Don't rush it.
