For games like Splatoon 2 which requires you to register the Amiibo before it lets you use it in the game, I get a Register Failed error. Upon checking the N2 Elite, the amiibo data in the slot I had is completely erased. It appears if the Nintendo Switch checks to see if its a valid amiibo before it lets you register it by trying to delete the amiibo data. Is there a way around this?

i just briefly tried this out. i used a squid amiibo, it failed to register on the OS at first, i think i moved it away too quickly, but then it worked the 2nd time

it loaded the green fella up immediately, with the nickname i set too, in the game.

i dont think there is a way to make amiibos more secure, they are all on basic nfc which probably cant be upgraded

We're you using a normal amiibo, a NFC Tag or the N2 Elite when you did this?

i will have a good test later, what steps are you doing and where is what giving you the problem?

are you unable to register an amiibo on the switch, or does the game not recognise the one you have registered

or is it deleting the data on the amiibo first then works fine?

ive registered both on the OS, and through the game, basically did everything possible and it all works fine.
