Hacking Mysterious save back up problem

I have tried solving this several times on the TC board but they couldn't help me

When I back up saves using my EZ 3 in 1 (new cart and latest exploader) the backed up games work fine but no matter what I do they won't recognize the saves. I make sure they are names exactly the same and i have tried the save converter. Im using a CycloDS evo. with the latest firmware if that helps. I have tried with MPH and Pokemon Diamond but neither work. Any ideas? I doubt the 3 in 1 is faulty cause every other feature works perfect.

I don't think it's faulty, i never get it done with my DSTT either. Whenever i put back backupped savegames i have to be lucky to see them working.

damn. thats weird. can i backup my saves via wifi more sucessfully?
