So I got a new USB for my Wii, but WiiXplorer, WiiMC, SaveGame Manager GX don't read it. USB Loader GX says it's not initialized, though. The same happens on my old USB as well.

On a launch Wii, WiiXplorer and SaveGame Manager GX work fine on both, WiiMC reads the old one, and USB Loader GX crashes after loading. Any help?

How is it formatted?

The old one was FAT32 by default, but the new one, I had to use a tool named 4DDiG to format it to FAT32.
I’m not sure what 4ddig is but I used gui format to do mine ages ago. What size is and make is your hdd? Some hard drives have compatibility issues especially over 2tb. Secondly could be a corruption issue maybe delete and reinstall the programmes and try again perhaps. Good luck hope you get it working

In the past I've used one of the Kingston DataTraveler Exodia 3.2 USB flash drives and, while it still works totally fine on my PC and TV, it no longer works on any of my Wii (U) consoles. Other Kingston DataTraveler Exodia USB drives work perfectly fine, especially new ones.

You're probably better off getting an external HDD to use for Wii game storage. For formatting, I use Wii Backup Manager but guiformat is fine as well.

Update: turns out it's because of the cios's. Don't know the fix, but I experimented using a Wii I had lying around.
