Wait a minute, can you actually wipe that off your DS? I wouldn't mind trying for myself if you could...
I'd like to do something like that to but maybe with spray paint and a stencil cause if I didn't do it with that it would look horrible

so can you wipe it off?

I have yet to, because I don't want to, but I imagine you could with rubbing alcohol. I did that for the first Genesis I bought, which was covered with peace signs done with white paint. I honestly would be surprised if you could use chalkboard paint on the Matte surface of a DSi and make it so you can just erase it, but I don't have $200 to throw away on an experiment.

For those who are curious, I used this as a stencil:

I just inverted it, printed it on cardstock, and used an exacto-knife to cut it. I wouldn't recommend doing this on any other DS model. I'm not sure about the Phat's plastic and the glossy finish on the Lite probably won't hold the paint without some sanding, which would be quite odd...

At least it doesn't look as bad as that Lost in Blue paintjob that one of the GBATemp members made a few years ago which became a mini Internet meme.

@PharaohsVizier:

Jebula was the LiB casemod/paintjob user from GBATemp. Unfortunately the 2 minutes I spent Googling for a picture turned up nothing.

My recent Dsi work.
I thought you were developing some software or something.
That painted text looks really bad on it.
