PS1/2 My Ps3 is Running Really Slow After 2.4 and 2.41

well i updated my ps3 to 2.4 then 2.41. but it takes forever now to load a dvd or video file. also when copying a video to my system. and i took about 2-5mins to load a ps3 demo disc. wtf is going on does anyone know anything i could do to speed things up, or what could be slowing my system down.

(i have a 40gb ps3, with a 250gb hdd installed)

try formating ps3's hdd and it should work fine

wtf put another option in the poll like "had it first but then i fixed it"

the only slowdown that ive noticed on my 80 gig is that the in-game xmb is a little laggy.

other than that i havent noticed anything.

That's quite strange. Try backing up your HDD and format it as someone else suggested.

Also in-game XMB is just prototype IMO, the performance isn't that great.

the only problem that im having is with the icons, sometimes it doesnt show some icons but instead it shows this "?"
