Oh man you have asian parents like mine xD
At first they limited my 'game usage' to like one hour every weekend (1 hour saturday, one hor sunday)
But now i use the computer so much, it dosen't really matter as long as i alt+tab..

Just say you need it for research...

Oh and this whole thing reminds me of a saying a made up:
"If you not doctor or lawyer, your not asian!"
[not intended to be racist in anyway even though I'm asian

You have asian parents (I presume?) and you make more money than them?! How..?

Yes, I also get limited to "Games Limited Weekends" only. But my dad goes out often, so I play on weekdays. My mom doesn't give a fuck about me playing games, she just doesn't want me on. She says I'll pay for it later in life by not getting a damned job. I'm fucking 15.

QUOTE(UltraMagnus @ May 1 2010, 01:49 AM) cant be bothered to read the entire thread but.

Surreptitiously glue the Ethernet cable that goes to your computer at both ends into the Ethernet sockets on the router and your computer.

I have wireless on my desktop and laptop. And even if I do that, my dad'll probably ban me from the computer like forever.

Ugh I know how that is. My grandmother banned me from the internet. I was 19, went to school, and had a job. When I was at home I did chores all day...and when I had a chance to get on for maybe an hour or two (I was stuck on Phantom Hourglass and needed some help so I went to Gamefaqs), she thought it was too much and banned me completely. Eventually I just went downstairs into the basement (my grandmother couldn't get down there very easily and almost never went there anyway) and used my cousin's computer. Even my aunt and uncle thought she was full of it. I paid entirely for myself and she said I was banned from the internet. Eh eventually she forgot about it (like two weeks later) and I was able to get back on.

My old step-mom (who is my dad's rebound chick, every time he gets divorced he goes back to her, even though she lies and steals) tried to ban me from playing video games. I was 18 and I had chores as well as schoolwork. I played Kingdom Hearts 2 for 20 minutes and she told me it was too much. This is the same woman who is addicted to video games and gambles after she stole money from us (she stole $150 from me as a kid and my dad didn't do a damn thing about it until she stole $20 from my sister...because she's the favorite).

Hey there!

This is my first blog post, so go easy on me if I do something wrong.

Well, my mom believes that every single health problem I get nowadays, it's because of the computer. And no, they're not life-threatening problems. Like seriously, give me a break.

Long story short: my dad cut my internet privileges because he wanted me to spend more time studying (back in Gr. 5). I could then only go on the computer at the library or once a week on my dad's laptop. Well, I have since gotten my internet back on my computer (December 12, 2009). My mom GREATLY disapproves of that decision made by my dad, and now takes EVERY single opportunity to try to make my dad take internet away again.

Now I don't spend much time on the computer, only after school and after my homework.

So, do you think she's b*tching about this too much?

PS: And yes, if you're wondering, I have ASIAN parents.
Haha, I know where you're coming from man. My parents are very similar.
But, in the long run, they're doing you a favour... you study, get good grades, get good job, get happy life

.

I know. But she complains every time she SEES me on the computer.
Every time I'm on the computer, she thinks I'm playing games, when I'm on Wikipedia.
