Gaming My Budew

okay, i caught it at lvl 4 very early on in the game. Now its at level 21 and still hasn't evolved. itys only feinted 2 times and ive never boxed it. I need to know how long untill i can get a rosleia or if there are any tips for upping the happiness on a pokemon early in the game (im in the second gym, the grass one). oh and it is daytime now but i did most of his leveling up last night in the dark - will that affect it?

You can up its happiness at any time but it will only evolve during the day. You'll have to max out the happiness which will take a little longer.

That is irrational. I mean, you've EV trained your Budew (fighting vs. trainers and wild Pokes) and now you dump it?

Remember, wild Pokemon are always weaker than trained ones.

Budew trained > Roselia wild

budew trained now has no moves because it has leveled up past everything good, all i can look to now is toxic spikes @ lvl 28 onwards, ive lost grasswhistle magical leaf and giga drain by leveling up past them.

Feed it poffins, even though mine hasn't evolved yet either, you have to max it happiness before it does.

quick how to :

Look at budew's summary and nature : somewhere it says e.g : Can takes hits.
- likes dry food. this is important because you'll be feeding the type of food that's displayed here

go to a poffinhouse and select a berry with a dry nature ( check tag )

make the poffin, feed it and now it's happiness is raised

you can go to the move relearner for missed moves btw, heart scales are found in the shinnon underground

if I remember correctly the poffin house is in the next town ( you'll get to that town after cycling road ) it also has a contest arena and stuff

is there any way to make him evolve without doing anything else than growing its level ?

Well, the longer you keep him with you the more affection your budew will get for you, so eventually it will evolve without you having to bake poffins and such, but there's no other way
