Hardware My 3DS won't play DS games anymore but it used to

Guys, please help me, my Nintendo 3ds absolutely won't play DS games, when i tried to put my R4 flashcart on my 3ds, it gave me a error. How can i solve this? I remember that time in 2016 and 2017, my 3DS used to play DS games on my flashcart but then back in January this year it doesn't anymore.
