You would have to be a complete dick brain to think this downgrader is safe at the current build it is. I knew it was not safe when i did mine and knew the risks and lucky enough it didn't brick.

Tbh, im actually thinking of updating it back, as some things just don't feel right with it and may bite us on the ass later on.

To anyone thinking of still doing this, hold off till a better secure build is released.
This. I had a few backup systems, so I took the plunge.. It isn't recommended if you don't have a backup...

Just wondering, what specifically are you dissatisfied with after downgrading?

I'm a jpn n3ds owner.

1) The downgrade not matter what package you use 9.0 or 9.2, the sys settings are always 9.1 afterwards.

2) Issues with GW 9.5 emunand not updating correctly with CIA's failing to install and again showing 9.1 and not 9.5. If removing two of the problem ones, it installs and shows 9.5, yet apparently amibo settings are screwed up. All files worked on 8.1 but not now.

3) Issues with CFW not installing correctly, yet not bothered to try it yet.

4) Just apoears to be a hybrid/incomplete downgrade, which could have issues further down the line.

personally i have notices a slight delay when loading cias on my dg to 9.2 o3ds vs my update to 9.2 2ds
Could just be SD card speed, everything loads so slow on my 9.2 downgraded 3DS because the SD card is worse.
Example, rxTools splash screen only shows up for like half a second on my XL, and on my other one it stays there for like at least 2 seconds before booting.

This thread is getting out of hand. It's just an argument over how the OP is such an idiot and how he should have known it wasn't safe etc.
Lock request.

Lol, love how the other threads claim it's 100% safe if you don't do anything stupid.
My .cias were perfectly fine, I had the right region, etc.
Yeah right. My fault, but really... don't present it as 100% safe if it is not.

even if its 100% theres always something that can go wrong, even official updates issued by nintendo can brick your device.

this sounds like a similar argument i'm sure we've all heard before, but I'm going to sum it up a bit differently as I remember from the movie:

whats the safest way to go skiing?
don't ski.

Seriously every thread says that there is a risk involved, which you have to take. I downgraded my N3DS with SafeSysUpdater, which isnt "safe" at all.
And you always have to consider that not all people who have been successful with downgrading will report their results. Most people only post stuff, when they bricked something. The outcome of the poll for success of downgrading should therefore be at 90% success and 10% failure, which is in my eyes very safe.
No idea what some people expect when they try to modify a console.... There is a reason we are officially not welcomed to do it.. lol

Lock req.
