Hi everyone,

I followed the Wii U homebrew guide over at wiiu.guide.

Everything worked smootly, and I could play games fine yesterday evening.
Now today, I wanted to play Wii Sports Club.Keep in mind that I have the DNS for the Nintendo update servers set so they can't update.
I got the error code "102-2471" while trying to play Wii Sports Club and I got error code "115-5111" while launching Wii Party U (just after the game launched, after clicking away the error the game works fine, don't know about online though).

I've googled several times on these error codes but I couldn't find an answer.

I've also noticed that if I insert my Mario Kart 8 disc and play the game (both when I've started Haxchi up and when I haven't), I get stuck on the Mario Kart 8 screen. I have to hold the power button on the Wii U to turn it off and turn it back on again.

I'm taking a wild guess that something's not right and I've messed something up, and I hope someone can actually tell me what I did wrong, and how I can possibly fix this.

Thanks in advance!

First of all the wiiu.guide is bad.
You can simply use a guide from here to delete the update folder so you'll never have to worry about it again.
Then you can disable your DNS settings and update your game as normal.
I use haxchi with the latest firmware, but you can also install just the version indicator from 5.5.2, I don't know if this was part of the wiiu.guide.

Thanks for your reply.

So, I have to put the .elf file in \apps\ftpiiu\ (self-made folder), launch it through the Homebrew Launcher, and then follow the guide you've linked?

I'm no expert in this whole scene so please bare with me as I can ask the stupidest questions

Also, I'm running 5.5.2 E

if you have the haxchi icon on your home screen and can boot into cfw using it you can just update it works on the latest update

I am on the latest update (5.5.2) and I do have the Haxchi and Homebrew Launcher icons, can I get rid of the DNS settings then?

yeah 5.5.2 is the latest and i highly doubt nintendo will release another update

Thanks for the info, I removed the DNS settings, but I still get error code 102-2471 when I launch Wii Sports Club, and straight after that it still says that it couldn't find an internet connection...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Update: The Wii U freezing on Mario Kart 8 seems to only appear with Mario Kart 8. Yoshi's Woolly World launched fine.

Update number 2: I'm taking a wild guess that I can't play online because I'm launching games through Loadiine. Whoops, my bad.

Though, this doesn't explain why my (retail disc) Mario Kart 8 completely freezes the console upon launch. Is there anything I can do about that?

loadiine is offline only i assume you downloaded the games through wii u usb helper

I can't state where I have downloaded my games from, but yeah, that's whats causing my error codes.

Also, apparently the MK8 problem had fixed itself. I was going to record what happens for if anyone asks, and when I was recording it launched fine and I could play online with no issues.
It's like these things have a sixth sense, every time you record it does the exact opposite of what it's supposed to be doing.

This issue, for my part, is closed :D
