Hardware Multiple drives connected simultaneously

I've seen this question asked and answered before, but not recently enough to be a 100% certain anymore.

Is it possible to have 2 external drives connected to the Wii U simultaneously except for transferring data between them?

If no, would it be possible to aquire such feature?
