Okay so I dunno if this is an obvious thing, or if it exists... but I want to connect my PS3 controller to my Vita to use as a Player 2 in PS1 Classics games.. is this possible? Like Player 1 uses Vita controls for Player 1 on PS1 game, Player 2 uses PS3 controller connected via Bluetooth as Player 2 on a PS1 game.

I have Diablo 1 on PS1, great 2 player game. I've got a hacked 3.67 PS Vita 1000, so hopefully theres a plugin for it.

I think it is possible, never tried it before though, use ds3 plugin, you can install using autoplugin app
You will have to pair controller through pc app though here is github link with instructions.

i managed to play crash bash (the japanese PSP version on PSN, not the PS1 converted to PSP) on PSTV with 3 of my friends, we all have PS3 controller, so we managed to play the game 4 of us, also played Crash Team racing on PSTV, only problem with that is low FPS while in 4 player mode, especially in Hot Air Skyway level, the framerate is 10-15 and all you can see is pixels.

for PS Vita, there is a plugin to use DS3 on it, but you really don't want to use that in multiplayer game on 5 inch screen.

I'm curious about this and can do some testing. On a PSPGo in the past I've played PS1 classics multiplayer; we used dual shock 3 controllers and I docked my Go.

In theory with DS3vita or DS4vita you could accomplish this, likely using adrenaline or maybe Retroarch.

There's another plugin that lets you output your vita to your TV via USB that I use all the time. I was tired of having to power down, switch cards, wait forever for the database to refresh, launch henkaku, refresh licenses and databases again just to swap between portable and TV mode, so the plugin figuratively turned my Vita into a Switch in that I plug it in and start playing on my TV, unplug it and keep playing portable.

That would resolve the small screen split screen issue.

I'm away from my gear now, but I'll try to run some tests for you tonight or tomorrow.

Nice, thanks for replies. I used DS3Vita to hook my PS3 controller up and it works great, I'd just love it to be able to control a Player 2 in games, as of right now it just is another controller option for player 1.

thanks!
