I am looking for a multilayer that when playing with two or more people the story does advance for both, or as close to that as you can get. DQIX was fun but it got annoying to have to do the story more then one time for each person. If there is anything like that can you point me in the right direction?

I'm not sure if story advances for both but Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, which comes out next week, can be played in wireless multiplayer too.

Phantasy Star Zero is online.
But you'll have to do story mode to unlock the stages.

PSZ was a pretty solid game, I was just turned off by the PSU system versus the PSO system I'm used to (from the PSO:PC/BB days, heh).

Also, maybe try Soma Bringer? If I recall, if you do a quest, it's marked as cleared, regardless of whether you're online or off.

Yea I was thinking about Soma Bringer. I played PSZ already and ehh did not make me want to play it like the DC version did.

I agree, PSZ was not really worth it, and the max level was 100 vs. 200 on every other version ever.

Soma Bringer was a lot of fun, I played maybe 30 hours of it with my friends, but it's got the same replay problems as every other game of its kind - we finished "Normal," then half of "Hard," and got sick of the same maps again and again.

If you're interested in action RPGs, how about Blood of Bahamut? It's kind of weird, but I really enjoyed it. 180-ish hours enjoyed it. It's awkward and addictive and a surprisingly solid 2 1/2D Shadow of the Colossus / Monster Hunter concept, with multiplayer.

Does the story advance for both? I will try it out anyways cus SotC was one of my fave games and if it payed any tribute in it or has anything to do with it I am down.

The story should advance for both in Blood of Bahamut, but you'll be playing levels over and over and over just to grind materials that it doesn't really matter if it didn't.

at least it had mags. :3
the only thing i didn't like about psz is the huge amount of dialog and the drops.
everything was okay considering it was on the ds.

Yeah, there's a pretty solid English patch floating around the translation forum.

And the way the game works is you pick a mission, then choose Solo or Multiplayer. Missions are story-based where you do stuff like survive five minutes, run to the teleporter, or break off a piece of a giant. Each giant (and it's upgraded version) from there has eight or nine missions, each one to destroy a specific core. You get a grade for each one, so as long as you do the quest, you get credit, regardless of who else is playing with you.

So I looked around and even did a google and best I could come up with was a menu patch, if anyone can link me that would be awesome, I will edit this if I run into it somehow.

Try Children of Mana, although I think the multiplayer on that game is local wireless only... Lemme go check the instruction booklet I got with the game....

Yeah, it's local wireless only.. But you never specified that it had to be Wifi-only multiplayer.
