Sadly, I think what used to be random 3-4min freezes while watching videos has turned into random 5-10min lock ups.. =/

    Any translations out?

(or can we do the translations ourselves?)

When I was on the page yesterday, I didn't notice any, yet.

Checking today, I see there is an Italian version now available for download. Keep an eye on this website for more details.

I am still running 0.7 (I haven't had time at home yet to update) however I got SMB setup extremely easy from a windows computer. Where are you having problems?

I hate to be a nuisance, but I'm looking to install this when I get home from work today simply so I can stream xvids over Windows SMB. does anyone have a link to a guide explaining how to set this up? I'm very tech savy, I've just never messed with SMB over wifi.

    Thanks in advance.

also, just from my short bit of research on Mplayer CE, I've noticed people mention only using FAT drives through USB. I'm assuming it can read NTFS over wifi, correct?

    Thanks again.

edit: I believe I've figured it out but if anyone has a link readily available, i'll take it.

Yes, it read my NTFS drive thru Wi-Fi no problem.

    A simple explanation of getting SMB working in windows;
    1) Right-click on the folder you plan to share in Windows and enable "File and Printer Sharing"
    2) Find smb.ini(or smb.cfg I can't remember) inside your \apps\Mplayer_ce folder, and open it
    3) Edit it to read: #Samba share1 (smb1:/)
    ip1=
share1=(must be in Quotation marks if it has spaces!)
    user1=
    pass1=
4)Save and you're done. As long as that PC is turned on and connected, you should be good to go.

If you have any issues, please revert to the MPlayer Configs Setup page. I am merely telling you what I did to make it work.

    thanks for the help all.

I'm still having trouble getting mplayer to talk to my computer, but I'll figure that out. What I can't figure out is why i keep getting -1017 error when trying to install ios36 as 202 using the USB2.0 program.

    I have:
    cIOS rev 13
    4.1U
I know I'm trucha signed, so I don't know what the problem is. I even used trucha bug restorer to trucha sign 36 again.

    Any suggestions?

edit: I may have answered my own question again, as I believe USB2.0 is integrated into rev12 and above. My only question would then be, did using the Trucha restorer to trucha sign IOS 36 again do any damage or is there anythng I should do to make sure everything is peachy?

Thanks in advance (again) for any help you can give me. Now I'm off to figure out why I can't get the Wii to talk to my computer.

you require the cIOS for mplayer, re run it using IOS249 at selection screen [IMG] watch it complete.

UK, I believe I tried that, but I will try again tonight.

Just for clarification, will I get the "error connecting to SMB1" message if I do not have this cIOS installed? I can get into mplayerCE, although I haven't tried to do anything but connect to SMB.

Sorry for being a pain, I've done my research but I just can't seem to find the answers.

    Thanks again.

you don't need the cIOS but it strengthens wifi and gives usb2 support, so it is ideal.
