Can't you update from within the app?

EDIT: Guess you can't... Darn... Maybe the team should add that in next version.

there is a lot on their todolist

Two questions....

1. I was having problems with DVDs mounting and it freezing. ANother GBAtemp member explained...

"It's because 4.2 deletes the old DVDx and mplayerCE doesn't support DVDx v2 yet so if you have pre/priiloader and the [Disable HAXX,DVDX,RZDx Checks] enabled you can install the old version of DVDx from the old hackmii installer and have both version 1 and 2 on the wii at the same time that's what i've done"

Does this mean I no longer have to install the original DVDx? Should I just be able to play DVDs without freezing now?

2. Can someone explain what GUI means and what is better about it?

1) not sure myself, but that is what the person u quoted said
2) GUI info, was answering a few posts before u asked ur question HERE

honestly, people who ask what GUI means should not be allowed to use windows... it stands for "Graphical User Interface", and if u look into the link above, u will get a better idea of what the new GUI will look like

lastly, don't post the same Q in 2 threads (at least wait awhile for repeating the Q)... there is no way that was an accident

You are right...it wasn't an accident. Just trying to get my questions answered. Also, I apologize since I overlooked the GUI info...but thanks for pointing it out.

Still wondering if the .76 update eliminates the freezing while mounting problem and if I need to still install the original DVDx version any more.

So is there anyway to create a playlist within the app? I've been trying for a while, but no success. I would love to be able to just create a list of music on the go before I start my homework (yes I do realize having the Wii on while I do homework isn't a smart idea, but no one said I was a smart person).

seriously someone asking what gui here is like someone asking what cpu is on a computer building forum WTF

Just because someone sees it and uses it doesn't necessarily mean that they know what it is called.

Version 0.76 crashes most of the time on the "Loading MPlayerCE 0.76 ..." screen. Anyone else having this problem?

For now it's back to 0.75 for me.

need some help here guys

im trying to embed mplayer ce into a channel so there is no need for the SD or USB , the question is how do i embed all the needed files that are in the mpayer_ce folder into a channel?

Can I see direct feed streams using ftp funtion? I tried connecting to several ones, the movie files were there but I was unable to play those on mplayer ce, some tip? Please

So I can use FlashFXP and FTP XVID files to my 1TB Harddrive already connected to the WII that I use ConfUSBLoader for?

If so, this would be an amazing application! It will be like my old XBox using XBMC to FTP movies to and watch on TV!

not at all. It's an ftp client, not a server. It operates the same way as the smb component does.

Thats too bad. OK, Ill stick with my xbox for FTP transfers then. Atleast I can watch DVDS though on WII.

Same issue here. After I uninstalled DVDX (older one for 3.2 systems), Mplayer0.76 booted - but wont play any DVDS.
Any advise on how I can play DVDs?

are you using a forwarder? 0.76 crashed with my forwarder too but if i load it with hbc the problem is gone.

Got it working. It was because I needed to install PatchMII seperate from DVDX. Patchmii is its own tool which ends up downloading like 15 files from the internet. So those with Modchips, you need to install PATCHMII first, then DVDX (it should say successful and not that message that says needs patchmii), then Mplayer 0.76 runs fine.
