Read the above link to configure usb2, if not then you will have usb1.1 only.

Thanks for the link. Is the mentioned IOS202 the USB2.0 cIOS?

Another (maybe dumb question): When I browse through my HDD, I cannot see any images on it. Is MPlayer not capable of displaying jpgs?

Yeah usb2 for apps other than usb loader is to use IOS202, install usb2beta2 and not beta3 at this time as it breaks a few things.

Also for image support, you just need to add them files images extension into the filter using notepad, but it may crash mplayer trying to view any.

Can you elaborate this?

You can do that, but images aren't currently supported, so it won't do any good

i have a suggestion regarding the smb errors on reconnect. tantric released a version of virtual boy gx today which forces a reinitialization of the network on smb fail. a look at the sources might worth a look.

need not worry, that was already implemented into MPlayer before T's emu's

Hope to have a release soon.

Im also having problems with Mplayer CE not regognizing the FAT partition on my HDD, which also has the WBFS partition. I dont know which is the first one or anything, I just partitioned it in half without thinking... I hope this could be addressed. Thanks.

i recommend to use the forwarder: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=135...p;#entry1790639

that sounds really promising.

'Tis a noobish question but what is a forwarder? Do I still need to have an SD card in the slot? Also was that widsecreen?

My understanding of a forwarder is that it is a wad that can be installed by wad manager.
It will show up as a channel on the system menu.
Instead of actually launching the program when you start this channel it instead forwards you to the dol that it was created for.

So an Mplayer forwarder would forward you to the boot.dol in your SD card's Mplayer folder.

This way when a new version comes out you don't have to use wad manager to uninstall the the channel and reinstall the new channel. You just change the dol file in the Mplayer folder.

Edit
And when I say 'forwards' you, it's not a like a big long process. It's instant actually.

And also if the part that asks if you still need to have the SD card in the slot was referring to the forwarder, than yes you do as the forwarder just points to the location of the dol on the SD card.

Just a question.

I am having some problems with Mplayer CE.

It plays just fine, but after about 40 minutes of Video it goes black and nothing happens anymore. Its as if the player is crashing.
I tried three SD-Cards already but I still have the same problem. Its really always at about minute 40 that it crashes.

Any ideas?

i have to ask shizzza something in german. sorry it's OT.

Does this version work with an USB HDD but with more then 1 partition?
And the movies are on the second partition.

It looks like only the first partition is read by MPlayer. You have to switch the movies partition to the first position.

Well, yeah. But the hdd loader doesn't suport a WBFS partition on second place...
Geexbox can read from the 2nd partition...
