yes it also uses part of IOS36 merged with IOS60 but IOS60 is the big IOS required for strong wifi if people use SMB. install it

It has any improvement over DVDx method? I already had to load a NAND backup =/ because the conflict with other apps that use USB.

no difference to older builds...still crashed after 20mins playing of any video file......then you cant load anything then......just sticks at loading vobsub subtitles??? and the file is not a vob nor has subtitles....think im gonna give up on this and stick to geexbox whihc at least i can watch a whole movie without it freezing....thanks

Yeah, mine tends to do that too, except it's more like around 80-110 minutes of play when it crashes.

Something must be causing the crashing problems for you guys. I watched three separate DVD movies in their entirely today/tonight, and all was absolutely perfect. I could skip chapters, pause/unpause, go back to the menu and enable/disable subs...I really tried to get it to screw up and I could not. Never crashed or code dumped on me yet....just perfect DVD playback.

I never installed any cIOS202/mplayer released cIOS. All I installed was the version of DVDX that is included with bootmii beta2. I run the player through the HBC (got it through the homebrew browser) and it works like a charm. Definitely one of the most useful homebrew applications to date...with all of the supported filetypes and functionality. Awesome stuff!

Well I haven't tried it with dvd movies. Only standard 700mb range rips, and 2 x700mb file rips in XVID format as an .AVI.

On System Menu 4.0, if I load MPlayer CE using a forwarder channel, and then I try to exit MPlayer CE, it crashes and shows a code dump.

This problem does not happen if I load it from the HBC. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I can play files fine, from SD and DVD. It's just the exiting that's erroring.

Try downloading a new forwarder. I had the same problem using a forwarder that had worked for v0.4.

Hmm, I used 0.5 for months which loaded movies via SMB fine, 0.6 started delaying the process by "caching" before the video started and now 0.7 caches at the start and also buffers whenever i skip through the video using the up arrow.

0.5 was a lot more responsive without any buffering needed for me. Is this the same for anyone else?

same for me. the seeking is very slow compared to before. and now after 50 mins or so of playtime, it'll keep rebuffering during the movie. overall it seem like it's gotten worse.

it will only keep pasusing to rebuffer via smb if your connection is dropping.

mine paused to rebuffer playing off of a usb hard drive. maybe i'm not really getting usb2 speed, tho i followed the usb2 instructions pretty closely. is there a test to test the speed?

Yeah I had found one the other day that worked:
http://wadder.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=487

The V2 in that post works great, and has a nice animated opening screen.

I take back what I said earlier. After playing multiple DVD movies, I did have the player completely freeze on me tonight about 90% into "Ghostbusters". Very odd how everything runs seamlessly up to that very point. Hope that is fixed someday....as it really does display DVD movies nicely. Does anybody know if a previous release did NOT have this bug? I already tried v0.5, but something is seriously up with the DVD video display in that version. I tried 0.6, but it of course takes time (watch 90% of a given movie) to tell...then theres 0.61 and 0.62. All I would love (right now) is for excellent DVD playback with no freezing.

i used this a while back but didnt trust it kept crashing the wii, heres how oyu can find out if it does the same.

Select a channel before the forwarder but dont hit start instead press the plus(+) button and it should come up with a "System files corrupt error......" but dont worry just hold the power button and it should be fine.

did it everytime for me but im using a different one no with no bugs and i tried it on 3 different wiis
