Um, this was announced yesterday...

Could you please *not* depend on pointing at the screen (hand cursor)?
I don't use my sensor bar.
Having that functionality is great, but there should be an alternative for people like me.

I wouldn't doubt it. I agree that more options is better. It does say Wiimote support, not Wiimote only.

Wow nice, this looks a little like the MediaPlayer on my original XBox... Nice!

Til now I was a dedicated Geexbox-User but such a nice interface and the NTFS-support could turn me into a MPlayerCE-User. Really nice!

I always wondered, why so many people did GUIs for all those USBLoaders but there was none for the two mediaplayers...

Yeah, I agree. Most homebrew-apps have both options. Like with the HBC you can navigate with the buttons immidiately, if you use the...

That's one thing I like about GBATemp, devs are always here.

after talking to a couple of people from the mplayer ce team it is not looking good they are not happy with the entries so far. ferries was the only one in for a chance but he has puled out
i took my old post off and posted a couple of new mockups on the wiki

Nice mockups jsjar, they look really cool, probably the best looking ones so far. I actually like those better than ferries.

This is one of my favourite homebrew projects at the moment, I love the functionality of MPlayer-CE at the moment and the New GUI will basically turn it into a world beating media center for the Wii.

Keep up the good work all, can't wait to see the finished product!

Why exactly is it so hard?
Not enough buttons on the wiimote? XBMC works without sensor bar but it has more buttons on the Xpad. Or are there other reasons why you can't do it without sensor bar?
