Hacking Move USB hardrive to another wii u?

Hi.
So my Wii u died today, no way to get it back im afraid.
Before I go out to get a cheap one back I just wondered if I can use the external HDD on the new one as is, or do I need to reinstall all games from wup and SD card/wifi?

I think it's locked to the wii u, so reinstalling the games is the only way to go I believe

Encrypted per console so no u can't swap it to another console

if they're legit purchases (any of them), you should be able to get nintendo to swap systems, so that you can download everything from the eshop. what I did was group my games between legit (76 games) and cfw (150 games or so) in a txt file, so if my wii u fails, I know what I had on the old system.
