Gaming Move/Transfer game saves????

I,ve had to renew my Gametag due to a MS F*** up ,thers a a few threads on the issue.Like an idiot i deleted my old Gametag but kept the game saves.When i acces the game saves on the HDD there asigned to "Unkown profile" as i deleted my old gametag.I've tried to use the move option but it doesnt seem to let me transfer them to my new gametag.

Is there anything i could try or have i lost the lot....My son may disown me
