HomeBrew Browser will be your best friend.

This program uses the internet to search a database of all the available programs and displays them in a menu format, with icons and descriptions of every program. There are currently about 220+ apps available via HBB. Download the ones you like, leave the ones you don't. The most useful homebrew program!

depends on what you wanna do really.
Check www.wiibrew.org as that has a list of apps you can install, plus groups into categories.

I have installed various emulators (as one console takes up less space [IMG]), MPlayerCE, WiiPaint (for the younguns), Opera (webbrowser), Backup Loader, plus a couple of games (Portii, LightsOut and GuitarFun)

As you've got SystemMenu 4.0 you can use 32GB HCSD cards so you can install everything....
plus you can get a cIOS for USB drives too, so sky really is the limit.
