Erm, Mother 3.
Graphics are just plain awesome. It's from the Mother series, so it's classified as an RPG, and it's also got a bit of the quirkiness from EarthBound. Not too sure about the story, but I imagine it's pretty cool (*can't read Japanese*)...so yeah, it's got to rock if it's one of my favorite GBA games and I can't even read the text!

Also, SMA 3 - Yoshi's Isand is great. Just a port of the ol' SNES game. Graphics are strange, yet refreshing. Bosses aren't too easy, but it is kind of a long game. And story...well, I dunno - I don't play scrollers for their story!

To me, it looks like this topic is meant closer for 'most impressive technologically' over 'best' GBA game...

To me, Kingdom Hearts: CoM, Riviera: The Promised Land, and Yggdra Union were the most impressive for use of space. Now, these all were 256mbit games, and CoM is jammed packed with stuff. Trying to trim it is an exercise in futility, since you'll still end up with it about 256mbit.

To me, Golden Sun 1 & 2 weren't all that impressive on a technical standpoint. Basically looked like SNES games. Nothing wrong with the games themselves, but it looks more like SNES than what the GBA could handle.

And for my all-time impressive game on the GBA, not necessairly the best I've played, was: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It's the only GBA game I can think of that has an FMV at the beginning of it, along with the voice acting in battles.

Doom made me say: OHSHI, then Tekken and finally V-Rally 3, the best racing game I've played on any Gameboy console (not DS or PSP).

Hello Kitty!! OH yeaH!!!! :woot:

Kidding, I dont know...probably Sonic Advance or Harvest Moon--the graphics were pretty but the music was annoying--especially during winter and spring.

all that's been said and:

advance wars
duke nukem advance?
the mega man series?
Onimusha Tactics (an underlooked variation of FFT)

other than those, it's already been said.

Everyone's already said Golden Sun, so...

Super Monkey Ball Jr.
Definitely one of the most impressive 3D games on the system.

FFTA
Pokemon series

Those are my two picks.

I never played Golden Sun or whatever that game is called that you guys like so much.
Go. Now.

Go download and play it.

Uhh...So is the topic about what game you liked best? Or what took most out of the gba hardware? It looks like two kinds of people talking right past each other....

Most fun gba game: FF6

Most Impressive: KH:COM for intro flick. Golden Sun for summons and overall graphics even. Max Payne for awesome working 3d.

Golden Sun 1&2 and the megaman zero series because GS was perfection and MMZ was just plain challenging.
