For me that would be a HP laptop from 2012 which i wish i can upgrade without spending as much as i did for it. The fan is a huge problem now and only works when it wants to, and i hate intergrated graphics cards by intel, it sucks, is supposed to run the graphics card that is added to the system bu it dosent. :glare:

Hm, well this isn't the most expensive thing in my life but the most recent I can think of is my 2DS and smash. like 90$ i think. Not expensive I guess. How much was your dell laptop?

Assuming rent does not count (generally it is a multi month commitment to pay money I would be upset to lose). Also assuming education does not count (tertiary is not quite free here and at the time I was doing it but it is not like it ever hampered my finances since I got done with it)

£1,185.40 in 2007. Tweaked various things at various points (new very cheap graphics card a few years later, more RAM, SSD a few years back) and finally ran it into the ground a year or so back (though some of its parts live on in all sorts of other machines).

I live pretty cheaply and can usually build or fix (most people chuck out things that are fixed fairly easily) whatever I need so spending out is not something I tend to do. I imagine if I went out and bought all my tools brand new tomorrow it would be a fair bit but even if it all burned I would not and would just build up again. Don't particularly feel the need for a vehicle for me but would happily do with a £500 banger anyway.

my xbox 360, i bought for 500R$
my 3DS, for 450R$
And the two consoles are used, the former owner of the Xbox no longer wanted to play, and the former owner of 3DS wanted to sell because the console was old and he wanted to buy a New3DS.

I could not buy any that was not used.:rofl2::D:):(

One of my guitars. It went up to around $1,175 after customs and shipping from USA. That's the most expensive thing I've bought with my own money (and paid at once).
So I'm not counting train tickets for commuting to uni ($150 a month, for 7 years, and that's just a 22 minute ride), phones with some contract (my new phone that's being ordered tomorrow morning (b-day gift) will total on $1,400).

So yeah. A guitar.

Ps4 1tb Call of Duty Black Ops III edition it was like $500-$600

Probably my iMac or my car, although those weren't purchases that I myself made. I suppose that'd be my stupid Wii U that I bought on launch for 350?
This right here, is the comment of someone who probably has the same exact feeling i did who woke up sunday November 18 2012 at 10 am waiting in front of gamestop to open for the $350 + TAX Deluxe black 32GB wii u with nintendo land (Maybe New Super Mario Bros U) and wonder why they paid that much with a price drop within a year.

Unlike the 3DS nintendo ambassador prorgam, the wii u had nothing like thatt which made things even less worthy. :glare:
