edit: A quick google search shows nes: Stadium Events which sold for 43,000, if there is a more expensive game than I don't know.

I can't think of anything that tops Nintendo World Championships 1990 Gold Cart for NES. Around $15,000+ (Sky is the limit really).


If anybody hasn't seen the documentary "Ecstasy of Order", the winner from that 1990 Nintendo competition for 12-17 year olds Thor Aackerlund is in it. It's all about Tetris and the top players competing against each other. Anyways, they track him down and try to get him to play Tetris again. A tournament ensues, and well, you need to watch it!
